D33J - 'Next Day' video

I first came across D33J when I saw the music video for his song ‘Nothing Left’ ft. Deb Never and Shlohmo, directed by Eliel Ford. Although D33J didn’t direct the music video, it showed he clearly took interest for the visual side of his music. The video perfectly portrays the song’s sombre tone and themes of young love and adolescence.

In his newest single ‘Next Day’, D33J takes the reigns in this self-directed music video. The video’s description calls it a ‘sensory soup’ which I think sums up the visual perfectly. The imagery is made out of a series of self-shot and found photos, using machine-learning software to turn these photos into a flowing, contorting sequence to a dizzying effect.
